'Residency' remains to be one of the most popular attractions in Lucknow since ages.From morning walkers to tourists the place happens to be one of the most visited heritage site in Lucknow.No wonder the lush greenery,the silent corridors and shattered walls also makes this place a paradise for Love Birds.Too much of an exaggeration but true to an extent.Spending personal time without much interference is what sets it apart from other places.In spite of being located in the heart of city,this place will take you miles away from the city noise.
Residency was constructed during the rule of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan II,who was the fifth Nawab of the province of Awadh. The year of construction is 1800 AD and it served as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of the Nawab.Also in 1857 the place witnessed a prolonged battle which is also known as Siege of Lucknow.The Residency still has within its walls, the graves of around 2000 British soldiers who died in the Revolt of 1857.

How can a photo shoot possibly be complete without a dash of some vibrant lipcolour. The best part of wearing a lipstick is that it sparks up to your entire look in case you are too busy to get ready properly.
Exploring different places for a photoshoot has its own beauty.Who ever thought that I would jump in an excavated channel just to get clicked.
No doubt young crowd has devastated the already ruined walls by scribbling their feelings for their better half , but I suppose this scene is very common for all the heritage sites and gardens that exist in India.Nothing can be helped !

Residency also encloses the cemetery because of which it happens to be one of the haunted places of city but I personally have never encountered any such paranormal activity maybe because I have always been a day visitor.. :p
